Religious School
Rabbi Gross, Hilary Kamin, the Program/Education Director, and our
teachers have created an innovative curriculum designed to engage
students in a dynamic, interactive learning experience that includes
Hebrew. Classes are held only on Sunday mornings.
Our programming is project-centered, whereby students rotate through
five-week units on God, life cycles, mitzvot, history, ethics, ritual, and other
aspects of our heritage and
Working closely with the rabbi, Bar and Bat Mitzvah candidates are
encouraged to personalize their ceremonies to create a more meaningful
experience.
The Confirmation program begins in 8th grade. Our students make a
two-year commitment to study with Rabbi Gross to develop a strong sense
of Jewish ethics and become young Jewish leaders in our community.
The success of our programming can be measured by the reactions of our
students and parents who have expressed joy, exhilaration, and
unparalleled commitment. Parents have described the experiences of their
children as "incredibly positive," and are elated to observe children
"bouncing out of religious school, grinning from ear to ear."

Director of Education
Welcome back Religious School
Families! We cannot wait to see
all of the smiling faces of your
children and watch them
reconnect with their friends.
Once the children arrive it will be
so exciting to see them explore
the new building and connect to
their spiritual home here, as we
strive to build their Jewish
character and foster their love of
Judaism. We look forward to
spreading out in our new
building, which will allow all of
our students to grow in new
ways. All of our middle school
and Confirmation students will
be enjoying our new classrooms
upstairs with fun perks like flat
screen TVs in the classroom to
bring their learning into the
digital age. Our Ozrim (high
school helpers) will have a space
to call their very own for the first
time. We will be able to divide
our Hebrew learning into more
spaces, so students will get a
more enriched small group
learning experience. We have
new facilities for our art classes,
cooking classes, music classes,
and mitzvah classes for our Pre-k
through 5th graders. Our
teachers could not be more
thrilled to get into the classroom
and make the most of everything
the new building has to offer.
We can’t wait for the year to
begin!
