“On three things the world is sustained: On Torah, On Worship and
On Acts of Kindness.” - Simon the Just
In the spirit of Simon the Just, the mission of the HCRJ Pillars Campaign
is to allow HCRJ to grow based on Three Pillars of Support: Education,
Worship, and Community (Acts of Kindness). These pillars represent the
primary services provided by HCRJ.
The HCRJ Pillars Campaign is now in full swing, and well before the High
Holy Days we are hoping to attain the participation of 100% of our
membership in this much needed project. Our campaign goal is to raise
$2,700,000, of which we have already received $2,480,000 in written
pledges.
Please consider contributing to this facility expansion, which will include
an 8,000 square foot, two-story addition for added religious school and
social space, a vestibule for a new and quieter entrance to the
sanctuary and a reconfiguration of some existing space. Every gift
constitutes a valuable contribution toward our final goal. Pledges may
be paid over a number of years (preferably no more than 3 years), with
the hope that over time our congregants will concentrate their annual
giving for the benefit of HCRJ and its future.
At the Annual Meeting in May, Rabbi Gross and the Long Range Planning
Committee made a wonderful presentation of our hopes and dreams.
These details are explained in the pledge packet which will be mailed to
our membership during the next few weeks. The forms are also
available on our website at www.hcrj.org.
Donors of $18,000 or more will be recognized as Pillars of the Temple.
Pledges are welcome and may be made periodically over three years,
with the first payment being due 30 days after congregational approval
of expansion and improvement plans.
